I’m all for preventing illnesses rather than taking medications when already in trouble. When I have learnt about the information Dr. David Ewans presents in his video about mineral deficiencies, I felt I have to share it, as this something all of us need to know.
To put it simply, if we have adequate essential minerals, trace-minerals, vitamins and other micro-nutrients in our body, than we are healthy. If there is an imbalance and we are missing something, then to that degree, our health is deteriorating.
However it is getting increasingly harder to get all these essential nutrients from food alone as studies in several different countries show that the mineral and vitamin content of vegetables have fallen by as much as 30-50% or more from the values measured 50 years ago.
Therefore it is a good idea to take quality, bio-available mineral supplements, especially if you want to stay healthy, or if you feel low on energy, tired all the time, have head-aches, feel weak, have muscle cramps, have dry skin, feel bloated, have body aches or discomfort.
There are no digestive or metabolic processes in the body that can take place without minerals. Minerals are the beginning of all those processes, therefore we have to take care of the minerals first, because if we are missing any of the essential minerals or trace-minerals, all the other vitamins or amino acid and nutrient in our diet will not be assimilated and utilized by our body.
The body also needs essential minerals to regulate the nervous system and the hormonal activity and to convert amino acids to proteins, which are the building blocks of muscle tissues and skin.
Minerals don’t cure illnesses but they make it possible for the body to go through its own regenerative processes, and heal itself.
